I finished my Bourjois eyeliner so i
thought of picking it up and visited the counter at In-orbit Mall Malad. I like
this eye liner (16 hour long) from Bourjois and have been using it for
some time now. But
to my luck the eye liner was out of stock !!!
However in the process i discovered
new products from Bourjois which got recently launched.
The sales rep. at the counter was quiet eager in showing the new launches.
First - She shows me this Happy Light Base Serum (which is supposed to be used before the foundation and is suppose to hydrate your skin and minimize the pores).
Second - i was shown the Happy Light Foundation (which is light in weight and gives moderate coverage).
Third - i was shown Beauty Full Volume Mascara (Which is suppose to add volume to your existing lashes and gives flexible hold). There were other new launches in Lipsticks as well but seriously speaking i already had the same colors in my collection so did not picked any.
To start with.... the packaging is simple yet appealing. However I did not like the Happy Light Base Serum. Once you apply the serum and then apply Happy light foundation it starts flaking..... which is not good to start with. When your base only starts flaking then you cant guarantee, the foundation would not give you the desired result on the flaky base. I was unhappy with the result when i tried it on my hand so i dropped the idea of picking up the serum.
Coming to Happy Light Foundation from Bourjois, I liked the foundation being light in weight and blends like a dream giving moderate coverage. Not heavy on skin and does not look cakey at all. Comes in a pump bottle dispenser packaging, the texture is neither thick nor running and is easy to work with. If you are looking for a foundation with heavy coverage then this is not the product for you. Its good if you want to use it for every day use or if you are stepping out in the evening where you want a moderate coverage. People with problematic skin might want to try something else as this would not meet their purpose.
Gives nice, smooth and flawless look. With this foundation you are photo ready as pictures comes out great. If you are looking out for a light weight foundation then you should definitely give it a try.
Price : Rs. 1485/- (Ouch ! its pricey)

Let me not tell you what does Bourjois claim about this mascara and come to the point in what actually it delivers right !!!!
My take on this product : I like this Mascara, though i am not so impressed with the packaging. It has a thick wand and does add volume to your lashes. I tried this at the Bourjois counter and picked it up instantly. It gives a nice hold to your lashes, but one concern is since the wand is thick it's a task to cover up the inner corner of your lashes where you have short tiny lashes. For more coverage what you can do is apply one coat, take another plain mascara wand (without any product) brush it up so that it does not clump and add another coat. It has a creamy texture and dries fast.
Price : Rs. 475/-
